Description of Resources
The material pertains to survivors of the Holocaust. The languages of documents are: English, Hebrew, German, Polish, French. The material deals with countries from Europe, North Africa, Middle East and Asia.

Immigration/Refugees: There are lists of Holocaust survivors and people in Displaced Persons Camps. There are approximately 100,000 names. The individual card gives the name of the person, and his date and place of birth. It is in the process of being microfilmed. The documents are in English, Hebrew, German, Polish and French.

Holocaust Survivors:
80,000 index cards of Holocaust survivors ( on microfilm) . These include registration cards from the JDC emigration office in Munich after WWII, registration cards from the JDC emigration office in Vienna after the war, and individual cards of Jewish refugees who reached Spain during World War II.. Each group of cards is in alphabetical order. The cards from Munich and Vienna provide names , addresses, names of family members, dates and places of birth and other information..The cards from Spain include the date of entry into Spain and the name and address of the camp or hotel to which the refugee was assigned.

Files from JC Locations Service Istanbul 1944-47:
Computerized listing of 6000 files from the JDC Location Service in Istanbul 1944-47. The files include data on Holocaust victims and survivors from Greece, Rhodes, the Balkans, Hungary and other countries.

Lists of Holocaust survivors:
Now being microfilmed and scanned ( approximately 10,000 pages). We hope to have the lists available by June 2004.

Jewish Refugees that Reached Spain:
Documents and photographs ( on microfilm) relating to Jewish refugees, including children, who reached Spain during World War II.( in addition to the card index). This material is in the process of being microfilmed.

Description of Facility:
The catalogue is in the process of being computerized. An application for a search can be made but it must be given in advance of the visit to the archives.

Searches can be done from abroad but there is a fee. The search may take weeks or months. .

Fees/Copies:
Material can be photocopied in small amounts for a fee.
