| Following the
1929 Arab riots in Hebron, during which unarmed
Jews were butchered, mutilated, castrated,
beaten, raped and sent running for their lives,
a very worried William GOLDHIRSH wrote to the US
State Department to enquire about the well-being
of his parents, who were residing in Mea Sharim,
Jerusalem, at the time. Following Goldhirsh's
letter, the State Department requested a survey
of all United States citizens then living in
Palestine. This file is based upon the American
Consul's reply to that request. |
