1922 Census for Tel-Aviv & Petah Tikva online - Feb., 2010

The Israel Genealogical Society is thrilled to announce that the combined Tel-Aviv and Petah Tikva census conducted under the British Mandate in 1922-23 is now online in our members' corner. Over 16,000 listings! This census was during the third aliyah and contains almost one fifth of the
Jewish population in Palestine at that time. These are the only parts of the original lists for the census that weren't destroyed, that we know of. It is a bilingual database that can be searched in both Hebrew and English. The information in Hebrew has been copied as it is in the original document. The names have been transliterated and the rest of the information has been
