The world Joint Archive in Jerusalem documents the activities of the Joint all over the world, including Israel, from it’s beginnings in 1914 to the present day.  The archive houses over 150,000 files from Joint offices around the world, and a collection of about 30,000 pictures and 500 movies.  There are also annual reports, Joint publications, as well as books, M.A. theses and doctoral dissertations written about Joint activities.

among the topics covered in the archive:

  • Rescue work by the Joint during World War II, displacement camps, information about holocaust survivors and rehabilitation of Jewish communities in Europe after the war.
  • Aliya to Israel from Europe, Yemen (“Magic Carpet” operation) and from North Africa.
  • Joint activities in Eastern Europee and the USSR starting from 1914.
  • Joint activities in North Africa, Ethiopia, and other African countries.
  • Joint activities In Asia and the Middle East.
  • Joint activites in Israel starting from 1914.

The archive in Jerusalem works in cooperation with the Joint archive in New York, and allows access to the archival collection there.

  • It is possible to order from the archive photos, movies, presentations and documentary materials for use in conferences and exhibitions as well as for use in movies and new pulblicity.  The archive serves researches from all over the world.
