1936 - List of Medical Practitioners, Dentists, Dental Practitioners, Pharmacists, Assistant Pharmacists, Midwives and Veterinary Surgeons (in English)

The Department of Health of the Government of Palestine periodically published a list in English of the licensed practitioners. Three publications for the years 1936, 1940 and 1946 have been found so far. The 1936 publication is available in the Haifa University Library and the other two in the National Library in Jerusalem. The publication includes the name of the practitioner, his address and license number. If the practitioner was serving in the Middle East Forces during or after World War Two, that would be his address, thereby making available information as the practitioner's participation in the war. In the 1946, there are addresses outside of Palestine, for those who had a license but were practicing their profession abroad.

The Israel Genealogical Society is building a database which will include the information from all three publications.
